DENTURE STABILIZER

PURPOSE: To obtain a denture stabilizer capable of inhibiting time dependent color change by blending a specific chemical compound to a pasty system comprising vinyl acetate as a base material. CONSTITUTION: A tocopherol is blended to this denture stabilizer comprising vinyl acetate as a base material. As the tocopherol, an α-tocopherol is preferably used. As the α-tocopherol, e.g. dl-α-tocopherol, dl-α-tocopherol acetate, dl-α- tocopherol succinate and their salts can be cited. It is suitable to blend 0.01-10.0wt.% tocopherol based on the total weight of the denture stabilizer. The vinyl acetate resin as the base material can be a vinyl acetate resin having low, middle or high degree of polymerization. The resin can be used independently, or in properly combinating those. It is preferable to blend 30-80wt.% resin.
