Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surveying method in which, when a curved tunnel is excavated, a tunnel excavator is advanced precisely along the curve planned line of the curved tunnel. SOLUTION: A displacement amount and a deflection angle with reference to a curve planned line in the present position of a tunnel excavator 1 which is excavating a curved tunnel are found. When it is assumed that the tunnel excavator is advanced at the deflection angle up to a definite distance on the extension line of its machine axis, the tunnel excavator 1 is set in such a way that the curved tunnel can be excavated even when the advance state of the tunnel excavator up to the distance is at a displacement amount or lower which is permitted on the basis of the curve planned line. Then, the displacement amount with reference to the curve planned line in its position is found so as to be compared with a deflection amount in a present position, the advance direction of the tunnel excavator 1 from the present position is corrected to a direction along the curve planned line, and the curved tunnel can be excavated precisely.
