IMAGE MICROSCOPE SYSTEM AND ILLUMINATOR THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily supply a constant quantity of light to a subject by using a lighting means built in video equipment for microscope lighting and observing the subject. SOLUTION: After the video microscope system is arranged on a document table, i.e., a stage, the microscope lens unit 51 of the system is coupled with a head part 3. Then a fixed ring 511 provided on the upper-end side of the microscope is coupled with the adapter of the image pickup part 31 of the head part 3, and then an optical fiber 6 coupled with a fixed plate 512 is adjusted so that it is positioned at the output end of a light source part 31. At this time, a fixed base 61 in a funnel shape which is fitted onto the tip of the optical fiber 6 is positioned at the output end of the diffusion plate 313 of a light source part 31 so that the fixed base 61 can converge all of the light outputted from the diffusion plate 313. When the light source part 31 is placed in operation in this state, a constant quantity of light is emitted by the light source 311, converged by the fixed base 61, and supplied to a lens unit 51 through the optical fiber 6. Then the subject positioned at an object part 53 is irradiated with the light.
