Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent weaving by blowing down a fringed selvedge in such a direction as to run apart from an opening by the action of a jet nozzle at such a timing that a reed approaches a cloth fell. SOLUTION: In a fluid jet loom, a fringed selvedge 15 caught by a catch cord 3 situated outside a woven fabric 1 is directed in such a direction as to run apart from a warp opening 5 by the jet stream through a blow nozzle 13 located on the upper side of a temple cover 11. During weaving operation, at a point of time when a reed 9 is transferred from a retreated position to an advanced position, a jet nozzle 17 sets into motion to blow down the fringed selvedge 15 in such a direction as to be nearly aligned with a cloth fell 7 by the combined bias effect of the jet stream through both nozzles 13, 17, thus preventing the fringed selvedge 15 from being woven. |
