LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is decreased in the troubles occurring in the oriented films and spacers of an LCD panel. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate 2 on which X electrode groups extending in a direction Y are formed, a second substrate 1 on which Y electrode groups extending in a direction X are formed, plural columnar spacers 14, 25 which form a specified spacing between the first and second substrates and liquid crystals 4 which are sealed in this spacing. The plural unit pixel regions where the X electrode groups and Y electrode groups are intersected are utilized for pixel formation. The columnar spacers 14, 25 are formed by the combination of the longitudinal first spacers 25 which are arranged around the unit pixel electrode regions and are formed on the first substrate 2 and the longitudinal second spacers 14 which are formed on the second substrate 1. The first spacers 25 are arranged to face the first direction where liquid crystal molecules are to be oriented and the second spacers 14 are arranged to face the second direction where the liquid crystal molecules are to be oriented.
