PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair care product having suppressing effect of dandruff, itching and alopecia of head by using a solvent extract of eucalyptus of specific variety as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: Eucalyptusmacrocarpa of shrubby small-sized series distributed in the west of Australia is extracted with a solvent to afford a macrocarpa extract, which is then further purified by technique such as column chromatography to provide macrocarpals. This hair care product uses preferably especially macrocarpals (7 kinds of macrocarpals A to G). The blend ratio of the macrocarpa extract is about 0.1-10wt.% based on total amount of the hair care product. The hair care product includes e.g. gel, aerosol, hair pack, shampoo and rinse.
