Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preserve picture mode information in a VTR for domestic use by converting the picture mode information of a 1st identification signal into the information signal of a 2nd identification signal and superimposing it on a broadcast signal. SOLUTION: An EDTV-II identification control signal superimposed on a video signal inputted to an input terminal 11 is received by a B3 detector 12, and letter box information B3 of the control signal is detected and sent to a video ID identification signal generator 13. The generator 13 sets a video ID identification signal corresponding to the value of information B3 of the control signal, generates the information signal of this identification signal and sends it to a video ID identification signal superimposer 14. The superimposer 14 superimposes this signal on the 20/283-line of the input video signal and outputs the result from an output terminal 15. Thus, the picture mode information is preserved and the picture mode information of the EDTV-II identification control signal, for which preservability is not guaranteed, can be exactly preserved or reproduced by the VTR for domestic use or the like. |
