PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain appropriate correspondence to a customer by detecting whether a part is extracted from discharged paper sheets or not and storing information on extraction when a part is extracted. SOLUTION: When a part of plural change paper money A which are collectively discharged in a change paper money discharge port is extracted, a slit disk 19 rotates in the direction of an arrow through a roller 18 and a shaft 17 at the time of extraction, and the extraction of a part is detected. After a part is extracted, the roller 18 moves downward and a very small quantity of downward displacement quantity is enlarged at a lever ratio. Then, a left sensor S different from a sensor S executing sensing before the extraction of a part is turned on in response to the number of extraction sheets. Thus, the extraction of a part is detected by input from a line sensor 22. A partial extraction storage means stores information on extraction. Consequently, whether the cause of lacking is by the illegal action of a customer or by the discharge error of a machine-side can be recognized based on storage information when the customer reports that the number of discharged paper sheets lacks.
