SNOWFALL DETECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snowfall detection device for detecting the presence or absence of snowfall by accurately distinguishing rain from snow. SOLUTION: A first diaphragm 12 can stop precipitation such as rain and snow on its upper surface. A first vibration sensor 14 detects a vibration generated by the first diaphragm 12. A precipitation detection means 18 detects whether precipitation exists or not. A processing part 20 compares a predetermined reference waveform with a vibration waveform outputted by the first vibration sensor 14 when the precipitation detection means 18 detects precipitation, and judges that it snows when the difference between the reference waveform and the vibration waveform is within a predetermined range.
