CHANGING METHOD OF START OF FORWARDING OF FUEL INJECTION PUMP AND FUEL INJECTION PUMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable correction of an injection pump ignition timing by removing a safety fixing element for a roller pin, laterally moving a roller pin having a roll toward the shaft line of a cam shaft, using an inspection gauge to direct the roller pin to a desired delivery start position, and subsequently fixing the same to a roller follower. SOLUTION: A roller pin 20 is fixed to a roller follower 16 with two fixing screws 21 in an elongated hole provided in the lateral direction to the longitudinal shaft line of the roller pin 20. According to the possibility of lateral movement of the roller pin 20, the axial space between an injection cam 18 and a roll 17 is changed, and the feed of a piston of an injection pump and the ignition time change as a stroke of a pump piston from the lower dead point of a cam to the supply start. According to the movement from the center position of the roller pin 20 caused at need, the contact surface of the roller follower 16 is provided with a tooth train further parallel than that of the roller pin 20. By each tooth train, the roller pin 20 can be moved from the center position to the right and the left.
