Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a cyclic amide derivative which is represented by a specific formula, has a strong and high-selectivity antiacetylcholine esterase activity and is effective for prophylaxis and therapy of diseases of the central nervous system with high action durability and high safety. CONSTITUTION: This derivative is expressed by formula I R is a group derived from (substituted) cyclic amide where the group derived from (substituted) 2H-3,4-dihydro-1,3-benzoxazin-2-(di)one is excluded; Z is a group of formula II [R is (substituted) aryl, cycloalkyl, heterocyclic ring; m is 1-6], formula III [R is H, a lower alkyl; R is same as R ; p is 1-6) ; n is 0, 1-10}, preferably 3- 2-[1-(1,3-dioxolane-2-ylmethyl)-4- -piperidine]ethyl}-5-methoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinazoline-2,4-dione. It is preferred that, for example, 5H-6,7,8,9-tetrahydropyrido[2,3- -b]azepin-6-one is used as a starting substance.
