Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To provide excellent transparency by a method wherein one surface polystyrene layer is composed of polystyrene resin having a Vicat softening temperature which is at least a specific value ( deg.C) higher than that of specific polystyrene resin composing the other layer. CONSTITUTION: A styrene biaxially oriented sheet is composed of at least two polystyrene layers, and polystyrene composing at least one surface layer has a Vicat softening temperature which is at least 1 deg.C higher than that of polystyrene composing the other layer. Further, the Vicat softening temperature of the polystyrene composing the surface layer is lower than 98 deg.C. The biaxially oriented sheet is positioned so that its B layer surface comes in contact with a face panel, and placed on the face panel heated by a heating plate 6 of a contact heating type air pressure forming machine. Thereafter, a mold 3 of which a periphery is surrounded by a clamping frame 2 is lowered, and the biaxially oriented sheet is held down with the face panel 1 and the clamping frame 2. Then, compressed air is introduced to the sheet 5 of the mold 3 from a mold piping 4 and the sheet 5 is heated. Thereafter, the sheet 5 is elongated to be shaped.
