PRESS CUTTING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To easily press cut not only continuous work pieces but non-continuous work pieces as well into a prescribed shape even with a device for which a die roll and an anvil roll are used. CONSTITUTION: Non-continuous work pieces 6 are placed on a carrying-in line between the die roll 1 and the anvil roll 2, and fed piece by piece toward the spacing between the side roll and the anvil roll and are subjected to press cutting with cutting blades 11 disposed at the die roll 1. One of these cutting blades 11 is previously positioned at its rear part 11' (or an alignment stopper) at the position facing the anvil roll on the carrying-in line side by a set angle θfrom a line P connecting the centers of the die roll and the anvil roll. The work piece 6 is pressed to the back of this cutting blade 11 and aligned. The die roll 1 is thereafter rotated by a prescribed angle and the cutting is executed with the cutting blade 11 to be brought next to the position facing the anvil roll. The cutting blade 11 to be brought next is used again for alignment.
