Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To shorten drying time and improve productivity of a drying process by preheating industrial parts after water cleaning with a far infrared ray radiation heater under atmospheric pressure and thereafter carrying out a vacuumizing operation while heating the parts with the far infrared ray radiation heater to dry them at a vacuum degree of less than a specific value. CONSTITUTION: Industrial parts 3 inserted into a vacuum drying apparatus after water cleaned are placed on a drying shelf 4 and are preheated with upper and lower far infrared ray rediation heaters 2 under atmospheric pressure at temperature of 100 deg.C for 1 to 5 minutes, or at temperature of 200 deg.C for 1 to 10 minutes. Thereafter, a vacuum pump 5 and a cold trap 6 are operated while heating the parts with the far infrared ray radiation heaters 2, and a vacuumizing operation is effected for drying at the vacuum of 100Torr or lower. Hereby, drying time is shortened by about 10 to 20 percents and hence productivity of the drying process is improved.
