Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To reduce a thrust force and the load of a bearing by a high suction pressure during the stop and running of a pump by a method wherein two pumps are symmetrically arranged with an electric motor nipped therebetween, and the two pumps are simultaneously driven through the working of the single electric motor. CONSTITUTION: The rotor 4b of an electric motor 7 is extended through an electric motor body and coupled to right and left pump shafts 4a. Thereby, right and left thrust pressures by a suction pressure are offset with each other regardless a stop period or an operation period. Pumped water is independently sucked through the suction ports on the pumps at right and left ends and after the pumped water is boosted by an impeller 3b, the water is discharged through the delivery port of each pump. This constitution, since thrust forces generated at the pumps are offset with each other, remarkably reduces the load of a bearing. Further, the number of bearings is reduced, the decrease of the temperatures of a bearing and bearing lubrication oil is reduced, and a need for a cooling device for lubrication oil is eliminated. |
