GLASS BOTTLE CRUSHER

PURPOSE: To make it easy to separate and discharge labels or flatly deformed metal lids/caps, etc., by installing a screen with perforated discharge holes of a specified diameter at the bottom of a crushing chamber, and forming a discharge groove at an appropriate spot, in a glass bottle crusher which crushes glass bottles using a rotary plate with a hammer. CONSTITUTION: A glass bottle dumped into a crusher is crushed by a hammer 10 and a fixed serrature 18 attached to a rotary plate 11 into fine pieces, and these pieces are discharged from the discharge hole 21 of a screen 12. In this case, a label attached to the bottle is not returned but is only damaged by the hammer 10 and the fixed serrature 18, so that fine glass pieces stick to the label and might remain in a crushing chamber. In addition, if the metal lid is deformed into a plate-like piece by an impact action, it might not be discharged from a discharge hole 21. To deal with these cases, a discharge groove 22 is formed in the screen 12, and consequently, the label and the lid of a metal piece with fine glass pieces are discharged from the discharge groove 22 by an air current which is resultantly generated by the rotation of the rotary plate 11.
