Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester resin composition for a can lustrous varnish good in the balance among wet ink adhesion, processability, and blocking resistance by using a side chain-having alkyl- or alkenylsuccinic acid, etc., as a dicarboxylic acid component. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) a polyester resin comprising 1-60mol.% (based on the whole carboxylic acid components) of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, 1-60mol.% of a side chain-having succinic acid (anhydride) of the formula (R1 is 6-21C alkyl, alkenyl), 50-100mol.% (based on the whole glycol components) of neopentyl glycol, 0-50mol.% of an another 6-12C aliphatic or alicyclic glycol, and 0.1-5mol.% (based on the whole acid components and the whole glycol components) of a tri or more valent polybasic carboxylic acid or polyhydric alcohol, and having a reducing viscosity of 0.2-0.6dl/g, a glass transition temperature of 0-50 deg.C, and a resin specific gravity of
