VIDEO CONFERENCE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To connect again a disconnected video conference terminal as required by deciding the necessity of re-connection based on a cause of the disconnection when the line of a video conference is disconnected and making call back automatically to the line requiring the re-connection. CONSTITUTION: When withdrawal of a member terminal in a conference is normal disconnection, a line disconnection notice signal with a disconnection reason of normal disconnection is sent from a line adaptor section 3 to a terminal management section 5. Furthermore, when the member terminal equipment is interrupted due to line connection defect or an accidental fault or the like, a line disconnection signal is sent from the line adaptor section 3 to a terminal management section 5. The management section 5 sends a terminal withdrawal notice signal to a disconnection information management section 8. The management section 8 sends a terminal withdrawal notice signal having a normal disconnection or a line fault and line disconnection cause to a conference control section 6. When the disconnection cause is other than normal disconnection such as a line fault, the disconnection information management section 8 starts re-dialing of the member terminal automatically to the terminal management section 5.
