TURNTABLE DRIVING MECHANISM FOR HEAT TREATMENT EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To prevent an unnecessary material from flowing between a driving shaft and a bearing by providing a means for guiding the air into the clearance between the driving shaft and the bearing. CONSTITUTION: The rotating torque generated in a driving motor is transmitted to a turntable through connecting shafts 3, 5 and spiral miter gears 11, 13. An extended part 52 is provided on the upper part of the shaft 5 held by a bearing 40 fixed to the upper plate 22 of a heating chamber, the lower part of the extended part 52 is received by a metal bearing 42, and the lower side surface is enclosed by a side wall 44. A clearance is provided between the part other than a sealing material 41 provided on the inside of the upper surface of the extended part 52 and a sleeve 45. No clearance is present between a nut 43 fixed to the sleeve 45 and the support plate 6 of the shaft 3. The air pressurized by a fan is sent into the bearing 40 from an air inlet port 46 provided through the nut 43. It may be commonly used with a cooling fan for the other part.
