TRICHOGENIC HAIR-GROWING AGENT

PURPOSE: To obtain a trichogenic hair-growing agent effective for preventing the falling-off of hair, exhibiting remarkable hairdeveloping and hair-growing effects, harmless to the human body and having safe effectiveness by using a polyamino acid composed of specific L-amino acid as an active component. CONSTITUTION: This trichogenic hair-growing agent contains a polyamino acid composed of an L-amino acid of formula ((n) is 30-500; R1 is a 1-10C alkyl; R2 is H or a 1-3C alkyl) as an active component. The polyamino acid preferably has a spherical and porous form. The compound of formula is a polycondensation product of glutamic acid having esterified γ-carboxyl group and the terminal carboxyl group is blocked with an amine. The γ-carboxyl group is not necessarily esterified in some cases. The trichogenic hair-growing agent is effective for preventing the falling-off of hair, develops hairs with a natural cycle of hair-developing period and grows the developed hair to the hair having sufficient thickness and length.
