AUTOMOBILE AIR-CONDITIONER INTERLOCKING WITH AIR PURIFIER

PURPOSE: To keep the air in a car cabin always clean and perform the air purifying and air-conditioning operations for the cabin effectively by changing over an air-conditioner and an air purifier into the outer air introducing mode and the ventilation mode, respectively, when both the outer air and inner air are clean. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioner is provided with selectability between the outer air introducing mode and the inner air ventilation mode, while an air purifier is made selectable between the purifying mode and the ventilation mode. The air-conditioner and air purifier are controlled by a controller 35 in conformity to the outputs of an exhaust gas sensor 33, smoke sensor 34, etc. When judgement is such that both the outer air and inner air are clean, the outer air introducing mode and the ventilation mode are selected. In case the outer air is clean and the inner air is contaminated, the outer air introducing mode and the ventilation mode are selected; and in case the outer air is contaminated while the inner air remains clean and also in case both the outer air and inner air are contaminated, the inner air ventilation mode and the cleaning mode are selected.
