ROLL SEGMENT FOR GUIDING CAST SLAB

PURPOSE: To provide a roll segment for guiding a cast slab which has simple and small structure, can easily adjust the roll interval between the upper and the lower rolls to a tapered-state and confront with the static pressure of molten steel and the pressure from the cast slab of straightening reaction force, etc., and has a buffering function at the time of receiving the abnormal force from the cast slab. CONSTITUTION: A fixed frame 14 opposite to a lower frame 1 is arranged at the upper part of the lower frame 1 fitting a lower roll 3 and a both rod type hydraulic cylinder 17, by which rods 20, 21 can be shifted in the vertical direction, is arranged to the fixed frame 14. An upper frame 9 fitting an upper roll 10 is fitted to the one side 20 of both rods of this hydraulic cylinder 17, and a stroke regulating member 25 for regulating the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder 17 is fitted to the other side 21 of both rods of the hydraulic cylinder 17 and thereby, the roll interval of the upper and the lower rolls 10, 3 can be adjusted.
