METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LINING FLANGED SHORT PIPE WITH RESIN

PURPOSE: To provide a method for lining capable of forming films having the same thickness as the thickness of a tubular body part and flatness on flange surfaces. CONSTITUTION: This method for lining the short pipe with flanges 1a, 1b with a resin comprises the following stages: The short pipe 1 having the flanges 1a, 1b at least at one end is heated to a suitable temp. and the pipe end attached with the flanges 1a, 1b is connected via an adapter 2 capable of regulating the lining range of the flange surfaces to a tank 4 in which the powder resin is housed. A connector is rotated or oscillated around the axis orthogonal with the perpendicular plane in the state of adequately closing the other pipe end in the posture that the axis of the short pipe is oriented approximately within the perpendicular plane. As a result, the powder resin is moved into the short pipe, by which the resin is fused and its film is formed on the inside surface of the pipe and the prescribed range of the flange surface in succession thereto. The excess powder is thereafter recovered into a tank 4.
