IMAGE PROCESSOR

PURPOSE: To allow the image processor to be used for various video equipments because a parameter is set optionally with a video signal of a source by discriminating a type of disk data, setting an optimum parameter depending on a type of a disk and applying image contour correction processing to the data. CONSTITUTION: The processor is provided with a CPU 4 controlling depending on the instruction of a program, a disk 5 storing image data, a parameter setting means 8 discriminating a type of the disk 5 and setting a parameter depending on the type, and an image contour correction means 9 correcting the image according to the parameter set by the parameter setting means 8. Thus, when a disk 5 storing image data with different format for one reproduction device is reproduced, the type of the disk 5 is discriminated and the parameter for image contour correction processing is set based on the discriminated disk data. Thus, optimum image data are outputted.
