DATA INFORMATION EDITING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To enable a user to easily recognize the data information and to eliminate designing mistakes by defining the data after visually displaying and referring to the data information that is already defined. CONSTITUTION: When an editing job is started, the data information of a basic data type are stored in a storage part 3 via an input part 1 and an analysis part 2. Then the basic data definition is shown at a display part 6 as the data information by a graphic and an area. The data are added and changed against the data definition based on the data type information stored in the part 3. At an editing part 4, the length and the attribute of data are newly added based on the data type information by a graphic and an area. Thus the result written by the part 4 is shown at the part 6 based on the data type information which is analyzed by the part 2 and stored in the part 3. Therefore the data type information can be visually recognized and the wrong input of the reference data type information can be prevented. Then the designing mistakes can also be eliminated.
