EXTENSION BUS RESETTING SYSTEM OF PERSONAL COMPUTER

PURPOSE: To enable automatic continuous operation which makes the most of characteristics of a multitask operating system by supplying reset signals individually to respective slots of an extension bus by a central processor main body through software. CONSTITUTION: The #1 slot reset signal 51, #2 slot reset signal 52,...#n slot reset signal 5n outputted from an input/output port 4 to the extension bus 5 correspond to the outputs of the LTMs 41, 42,...4n of slots #1, #2,...#n respectively, and are supplied as individual reset signals to extension boards 21, 22...2n mounted on the respective slots. Those reset signals means a reset state when a bit is ON and a reset release state when the bit is OFF, and are supplied individually by the slots of the extension bus 5 through the software of the central processor 1 to control the initialization and operation inhibition of the respective extension boards 21-2n.
