Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for locating a fault point of transmission line, which can highly accurately locate a surge-current generating point caused by thunderbolt or electric fault (hereinafter surge-current generating point) in high reliability. CONSTITUTION: Sensor part 5 of each subordinate station 10 detects a surge current, which is generated when thunderbolt or the like occurs as shown by an arrow 9 on an overhead earth-wire 1. The detected surge current is processed in a main body part 7. Then, the information with regard to the processed surge current is sent to a transmission path from a transmitting circuit part. The transmitted information is transferred to a master station 20, which is connected to the left end of the transmission path. The master station 20 locates the generating point of the surge current based on the information with regard to the level of the surge current received from each subordinate station 10.
