Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain the odorant capable of providing a gas smell rich in impact and an alarming smell even in a low concentration, containing no sulfur content at all, comprising 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene and a 2-alkoxy-3-alkylpyrazine as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION: This odorant is obtained by mixing 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene with an extremely small amount of a 2-alkoxy-3-alkylpyrazine of formula II (R1 is CH3 , C2 H5 , C3 H7 and C4 H$9 ; R2 is OCH3 or OC2 H5 ). Addition of a very small of the odorant can provide a fuel gas such as LNG, a town gas, LP gas, etc., with a smell.
