CONTAINER GUIDE DEVICE FOR TRANSPORT CONTAINER CARRIER

PURPOSE: To allow an easy work for lowering a transport container to the preset position in a cargo hold by providing a transport container support rack with an engagement member capable of freely advancing and retreating to and from the guide section of a guide member vertically installed in the cargo hold. CONSTITUTION: The front and rear ends or both sides of the support rack 12 of a transport container 2 are provided with an engagement member 13 having an engagement section capable of free engagement and disengagement with and from the guide section 6 of a guide member 5 vertically installed in a cargo hold 3 along the inner surface thereof in such state as capable of freely advancing and retreating to and from the guide member 5. As a result, when the container 2 is loaded into the hold 3, the engagement section of the member 13 on the rack 12 of the container 2 is made to project or oscillate toward the guide section 6 of the guide member 5 in the hold 3, thereby guiding the rack 12 or the container 2 with the member 13. Thus, the container 2 as a heavy article can be guided and lowered to the prescribed position in the hold 3 easily and in a short time.
