VACUUM MOLD AND VACUUM MOLDING METHOD USING THE SAME MOLD

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a bridge between protruding shapes by providing a peripheral edge wall at the outer periphery of the protruding shape group of the mold. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of protrusions 3 are arrayed on a molding wall 1, and a peripheral edge wall 2 is provided at the outer periphery of the group. If the height H of the wall 2 and the height (h) of the protrusion 3 satisfy H>=h, a bridge is not formed at all, but the outer periphery of the group of the obtained molded form becomes large, and is not preferable. Generally, when H is decided to about 2/3 of the height of the bridge generated by molding in the state of H=0, it is preferable. A rubber or plastic sheet 5 is held by a clamp at the top of the mold, heated, placed on the mold, and exhausted by an exhaust groove 4 to reduce the pressure in the mold. Then, the sheet 5 is pressed along the mold surface to obtain a molded form.
