Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a detection method for the traveling point of a train which does not require an ATS ground element and a device for realizing the detection. CONSTITUTION:A train is allowed to travel in a predetermined traveling division, measuring the behaviors on the left and right sides of the train, under the speed condition free from the generation of slip and idling of a wheel, and a standard data preparation part 21 accommodates the measurement value in each prescribed revolution quantity of the wheel into a memory device 15, and prepares the standard data. Also in the ordinary traveling, the above measurement is carried out, and in the division, a searched data preparation part 23 receives an instruction from a searching instruction part 25, and the searched data is prepared by accommodating a prescribed number of measurement values in each above revolution quantity of the wheel into the memory device 15, and a mutual correlation function calculation part 27 calculates the mutual correlation function of both the data, and the region where both accord is obtained, and on the basis of the result, a traveling distance correction part 29 specifies the traveling point of the train. Accordingly, in the ordinary traveling where the wheel generates idling and slide the point detection can be carried out, without using an ATS ground element.
