Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a cast slab supporting device which can precisely keep the thickness of cast slab just below a water-cooling mold part in a belt-type continuous casting apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In the belt-type continuous casting apparatus, the water-cooling mold part 51 composed of one pair of belts 52 wound on plural pulleys 53 and rotated as endless and one pair of side dams interposed with both end parts of the belts 52 is provided. Water-pressure boxes 1 constituted by arranging a recessed part 3 on the surface faced to the cast slab 50, cooling water holes 2 bored on this recessed part 3 and a guide plate 4 partitioning this recessed part 3 in the width direction of the cast slab 50 to each, are arranged at just below this water-cooling mold part 51 while forming a gap (g) between the cast slab 50 and this box. By this method, the thickness of non-solidified cast slab can be kept to uniform.
