THIN FILM MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To make a slider as small as a terminal size substantially and to increase the number of heads disposed on the same base, by disposing terminals so that they cover the upper layer of an electromagnetic conversion element part. CONSTITUTION:Terminals 2b and 2c are disposed on the upper layer of an electromagnetic conversion element part 3 so that they cover this part. The element part 3 comprises conductor coils 6 and a magnetic substance core 7. A conductor pattern 5 is formed in a layer on a coil lead-out part 4 and joined to each of the terminals 2b and 2c. The terminals 2b and 2c are insulated from the conductor coils 6 and the lead-out conductor 4 by an insulator 8, except the conductor pattern 5. The lead-out conductor 4 is formed outside the element part 3 or on it, and in either case, this conductor is joined to the terminals 2b and 2c on the element part 3.
