POWDER SEPARATOR

PURPOSE:To powder solid components contained in a solution or the like and to separate it without the properties thereof being deteriorated by installing a spray powder producing device engaged with a thin film evaporator. CONSTITUTION:A spray dryer 5 is installed following a film evaporator 1. A raw liquid in a raw liquid receiving tank 2 is caused to flow down from a raw liquid feeding pump 3 to the cylindrical heating surface of the film evaporator 1, and is evaporated and condensed while falling down uniformly dispersed in a thin film. If necessary, the evaporated solvent is recovered by a solvent recovery device 10, and heating is performed by a heater 4. Next, the concentrated effluent from the thin film evaporator 1 is introduced to an atomizer 6 of a spray dryer 5 to spray it, and at the same time, hot air is fed by a hot air generator 7, and the spray comes into contact with the hot air to obtain dried powder, which is discharged from the device. Fine powder discharged entrained in the discharged wind is collected by a fine powder collector 8. For heat sensitive solutions or the like, a vacuum generator 9 is used and the film evaporator 1 is operated in vacuum condition.
