Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To properly prevent a short circuit which can possibly damage a cable harness and causes a vehicle fire at the time of an accident. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus which cuts off current carrying in a grounding cable or a cable 12 at positive potential of a battery of an automobile comprises a housing 20 with which the ground cable or the cable 12 at a positive potential can be connected and a plug 22 type conductor insertion connection apparatus 10. The housing 20 houses a gas generator 26 which can be used, for example, for a belt take-up unit. The gas generator 26 is installed in the housing 20 so as to generate a driving gas at the time of electrical ignition of the gas generator 26 parts the plug 20 from the housing 20 and consequently to cut off the current carrying the ground cable or the cable 12 at positive potential.
