CONSTITUTION:A refrigerator has an evaporator body 1 having refrigerant tubes which have a plurality of straight tubes 3 so disposed as to be substantially perpendicular to an air flow and to be connected by bent parts 4 in a zigzag state and a plurality of substantially flat platelike fins 5 fixed at an interval axially of the tubes to the tubes 3 and installed in a duct formed in a box in such a manner that the mean fin pitch of the fins 5 is set to a range of 0.4-0.85 times as large as the outer diameter of the tube 2.
