Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a travelling control device for a vehicle capable of maintaining riding comfortableness of a vehicle favourable even when an abnormality takes place on an idle switch. CONSTITUTION:When an off state of an idle switch is once detected after an ignition switch is operated (step 201a:YES), it is judged that the idle switch is normal and various parameters for constant speed travelling control are set (steps 201b-210). As constant speed travelling control is normally indicated while travelling, if the idle switch is normal, it comes to be in the off state once until the constant speed travelling control is indicated after the ignition switch is operated. Consequently, in the case when the off state of the idle switch is never detected even once (step 201b:No), the constant speed travelling control is prohibited.
