MANUFACTURE OF SHOE INSTEP MEMBER AND SHOE

PURPOSE:To provide a method capable of manufacturing a curved shape such as the toe part, etc., of a shoe instep member with shape holding performance and without wrinkling. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic shape holding members 12 and 14 are mounted respectively on the toe part 10b and the heel part 10c of an instep member 10. After sewing an insole 16 down on the instep member 10 by French seam (twice sewing after folding), it is set on a T-tube 24 to be steamed by raw steam 22. The instep member 10 is shaped into the shape of a shoe pattern by hanging on a shoe pattern and heating in a heater dome and an outer sole is adhered thereto. Then, it is cooled down in a cooling dome to preserve a shape of the instep member 10 and completed by releasing it from the shoe pattern.
