PARKING GUIDING DEVICE FOR MOBILE OBJECT

PURPOSE:To provide a parking guiding device for a mobile object capable of accurately parking the mobile object at a desired position by relatively simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:An airplane 103 as the mobile object advances along a white line 133 and the image pickup part 16 of a television camera provided in a parking position photographs it. The optical axis of the image pickup part 16 is concident to the white line 133. Images obtained from the image pickup part 16 are processed in an image processor 23 and the images of two engine pods 222 and 222 are extracted. A distance to the parking position is calculated from the comparison of their interval on the images and the actual interval. Also, the deviation of the airplane 103 is discriminated by the degree of the deviation of the middle point of their center position from the optical axis and the inclination direction of the airplane 103 is discriminated from the difference of sizes on the right and left of an intake hole.
