Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance against a fuel such as a gasoline- alcohol mixture fuel by using alloy containing aluminum and magnesium as essential components to form an atomizer mounted on the nozzle end of an injector for mixing injected fuel with the air and atomizing the fuel. CONSTITUTION:A vehicular air-assisted injector has a spring 3 built into between an adjuster 1 and a plunger rod 2, mixes fuel with the air drawn from an air port 11 during the travel of the fuel in the fuel passage 10 of an atomizer, and blows the fuel after atomization. In this case, the atomizer 9 is formed out of alloy containing aluminum and magnesium as essential components. Also, the atomizer 9 is preferably formed out of alloy containing magnesium between 2.0 and 6.0wt.%, 0.3wt.% or less of silicon, 0.4wt% or less of iron, 0.1wt.% or less of copper, 1.0wt.% or less of manganese, 0.2wt.% or less of chrome, 0.3 wt% or less of zinc, 0.2-wt.% or less of titanium, and a remnant of inevitable impurities and aluminum. |
