CONSTITUTION:When this pyrolytic boron nitride compact is produced by a chemical vapor phase reaction method on the surface of a graphite substrate, a preliminary vapor-deposited layer whose coefft. of thermal expansion is higher than that of the pyrolytic boron nitride compact by >=0.1X10/ deg.C is previously formed on the surface of the graphite substrate.
