MANUFACTURE OF INK JET HEAD

PURPOSE:To manufacture an ink jet head having high strength and excellent jetting performance without irregularity in nozzle shape. CONSTITUTION:A cover plate 5 is connected to a face having a passage groove 3 of a passage base plate consisting of a piezoelectric material formed thereon. In a Teflon container in which a light reactive liquid resist is injected for a predetermined depth, a tip opening side 1a of a head is dipped and held at a predetermined interval from the bottom face of the container. It is pre-baked in this state so as to form a resist solidified layer 18. In forming a nozzle 18c on the solidified layer, the surface of the solidified layer is masked and a part corresponding to the shape of a nozzle is exposed by using an extra-high pressure mercury lamp, and the exposed part is removed by development. Lastly, post-baking is performed. A high hardness is provided and the shape of the nozzle 18c is connected to an ink passage 6, and passage resistance becomes low. In other method, the tip opening side is dipped in the container so as to butt against the bottom face of the container, so that the resist solidified layer is formed at the tip of the ink passage and the nozzle can be formed therein.
