Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To suppress worsening of discharge performance and to prevent an electrolyte from creeping up due to a capillary phenomenon so as to prevent corroding a positive electrode terminal plate, by improving a shape of a seal unit, and suppressing increasing contact resistance between carbon rod and a positive electrode compound due to swelling the positive electrode compound at discharge time. CONSTITUTION: In the outside of a carbon rod support part 5b provided with a chamfered part 5a in the lower end innermost peripheral part so as to easily insert a carbon rod to a seal unit, a flange paper pressing annular protrusion 5c, separated from this carbon rod support part to protrude the lower plane part downward from a lower plane of the support part 5b, is provided to retain flange paper by the protrusion 5c, so as to seal a negative electrode can. In this way, swelling of a positive electrode compound in a vertical direction according to discharging a battery is suppressed, and increasing internal resistance due to deviation of a contact part from the carbon rod can be suppressed. Since the protrusion part 5c is separated from the carbon rod support part 5b, further since the lower plane of the support part 5b is not brought into contact with the flange paper, an electrolyte, with which the flange paper is impregnated, is prevented from creeping up due to capillary phenomenon, and corrosion of a positive electrode terminal plate by the electrolyte can be prevented. |
