Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a failure detecting device for the control device of an actuator used for the travel guiding device of an elevator car. CONSTITUTION: The control device 90a of an actuator 81 is constituted of an acceleration sensor fitted to an elevator car or a car frame and detecting the magnitude and direction of the transverse vibration acceleration, an amplifier 91 amplifying the output of the acceleration sensor, a current amplifier 93 exciting the actuator 81, a current detector 96 detecting the magnitude of the current 95 flowing in the actuator 81, a comparator 97 comparing the output of the amplifier 91 amplifying the output of the acceleration sensor with a set value, and a failure judging unit 98 judging the failure of the control device 90a based on the operation mode and the output of the comparator. When the control device 90a fails, the abnormality signal is outputted from the failure judging unit, and the failure of the actuator control device 90a is detected.
