Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To directly take-up a paper sheet utilizing a tapered take-up shaft and manufacture toilet paper rolls. CONSTITUTION: An end of a paper sheet (a) is directly taken up around a tapered take-up shaft 1 whose diameter is reduced from one end to the other end and is positioned on a pair of right and left take-up rollers 2 and is pressed by a turn presser roller 3, and when the paper sheet (a) is taken up by rotation of the take-up roller 2 in a given length, forming a paper roll (b), the take-up shaft 1 is moved in the axial direction so that the large diameter end is located in the advancing side in moving direction and is pulled out from the paper roll.
