Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To improve wear and CSS resistances by optimizing the film quality ranges of a DLC film on the magnetic head side and a DLC film on the magnetic recording medium side. CONSTITUTION: A combination of a DLC film 21 of 100 thickness on the magnetic head 20 side with a DLC film 5 of 125 thickness on the magnetic recording medium 10 side is adopted. The fluorescence intensity of the Raman spectrum of the DLC film 21 is 1.6-3.2 and that. of the DLC film 5 is 1.5-1.8. By the combination, the objective magnetic recording-reproducing device excellent in wear and CSS resistances and having high reliability is obtd.
