PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SUPPORTING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To surely test a program by defining not only the essential path of the program but also the relation of pathes in the detailed part of the entire program as the object of the test. CONSTITUTION: A program network generating means 108 generates a program network 135 showing the flow of control of the program from an abstract syntax tree 134 showing the control structure, etc., of a program 132 generated by a syntax tree analytic means 106 while analyzing the program 132, and a program link matrix generating means 109 generates a program link matrix expressing this network 135 as a matrix. Then, a program path information generating means 112 generates program path information based on program pa th expression information, which is generated from this link matrix by a program path expression generating means 111, and generates a program check list from this information. An executing means 119 performs the execution test of the program 132 while using the program path information, and a test result report means 120 displays the test result 140.
