Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To easily attach a segment to belt surface and keep the segment hardly separated, regarding a flat belt type chassis dynamometer. CONSTITUTION: In the flat belt type chassis dynamometer having a belt 9 extended between a pair of front and rear rollers 1, placing a vehicular tire on the belt 9, and joining a flywheel and a dynamometer to the rollers 1, segments 10 made of a rubber material are bonded to the surface of the belt 9 intermittently along a travel direction, and a slope section 10a is formed on the front end of each segment 10 in a travel direction, thereby alleviating bending stress acting on the bonded surface of the segments 10 at the time of the takeup thereof around the rollers 1.
