Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To improve the wear resistance in sliding without lowering strength by providing many fine streaks in at least two main directions on the surface of a ceramic sliding parts in sliding contact with a metal and forming recesses respectively at the intersections of the streaks. CONSTITUTION: Many fine streaks having 0.5-20μm width and 0.1-3μm depth on a average in two or 3 directions crossing one another are provided on the surface of a ceramic sliding parts in sliding contact with a metal with an uniform density as far as possible. Consequently, the surface roughness of the ceramic is controlled to 0.5-3μm mean maximum height roughness according to JIS B0601, the sliding characteristic is further improved, the smaller crossing angle at the intersection of the streaks furnished in the main two directions is controlled to
