LINE PRINTER AND COMPUTER EQUIPPED WITH LINE PRINTER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING LINE PRINTER

PURPOSE: To cause the performance of a high speed line printer to sufficiently exert by writing in a depiction data retaining part analyzed results in an analysis processing part while character patterns are transferred from a line buffer to a print-out part. CONSTITUTION: The analysis processing part 2 operates to take out data from a printing data accommodation part 1, and determine control codes of one character deletion, one line deletion and so forth, and if one character exists to be deleted, the character is subjected to deletion, and if one line exists for deletion, the character code developed for one line is deleted in order to develop character codes in a subsequent line. In this manner, character codes in a character string to be printed out are written in a depiction processing part 4. The depiction processing part 4 serves to take out character patters from the character pattern retaining part 5 with respect to one line character codes from the depiction data retaining part 3 so as to retain them in a line buffer 6. The print-out part 7 acts to take out character patterns for one line retained in the line buffer 6 and then print them out.
